Out of office on
My journey started at the Palmerston North airport βοΈ, it was quiet when I arrived so I opted to check in with a lovely Air NZ staff member. Check in was smooth, and I headed for the koru lounge. I always treat myself to an airport mimosa π₯ at the beginning of every trip and this time was no exception! I fixed myself an antipasto platter #girldinner and did a bit of life admin while I waited for my flight. And wait I did.
The flight was delayed, then delayed again, then to the surprise of no one, cancelled βοΈ. The Air NZ staff were extremely apologetic and knowing I had a flight to Samoa in the morning did me a solid and booked me in one of the few seats left on the next (last) flight of the day #thankyoulegends. The new flight was also delayed... But not cancelled!
I had a near-perfect #meetcute on the plane, a very attractive Scottish guy (hot without the accent for those who are wondering π) we bantered back and forth the whole ride. Just a shame about the wedding ring! Alasβ¦
The Auckland domestic terminal was a ghost town, bag collection was quick and fortunately the green airport transfer bus π was waiting for me, and not soon after I was on my way to the international terminal.
A very short walk to the Pullman, and after a little confusion on the concierge's part I was heading up to meet Holly and Simon in our room.
The room was really nice, spacious and quiet. No complaints, other than I didn't get to spend more time in it!
